Enjoyed reading the article!

Out of curiosity, if I have some money to invest and I want to bet that Adani's stock will continue to fall, is there anything I can invest in aside from shorts/puts? (Like inverse funds)

Thank you, Auro :D

There are ways you can bet against the stock indirectly, and none that are safe or easy (no funds). You'll have to think about who benefits if the companies that you want to bet against falls and then go long on those securities/commodities, ideally via futures.

For example, if a nuclear power company -- that has a significant market share in the energy space -- is going to go down, you might bet on coal companies getting a push upwards.

Excellent writeups on the whole Adani story so far, really enjoy the writing style and useful footnotes! Would be interesting to know what kind of topics will be covered in the future.

Thank you, kind reader.

I'll continue to write about interesting finance stuff that's happening in India. This could be stuff related to banks, credit research firms, finance-side of companies (fund raising, publicly listing, financial fraud), brokerages, financial regulators (RBI/SEBI).

What I won't write about: economics. People usually think economics when they think finance but I'm more on the functional side of corporate finance vs economics which is more about larger policy oriented.
